Magione (Pg). Open all year round, the Oasi Naturalistica La Valle nature reserve is part of the Lago Trasimeno regional park at San Savino, on the eastern shores of Lake Trasimene. La Valle is equipped with a visitors centre with teaching rooms, a permanent exhibition on the historical and natural features of this area, a marking centre for birds and a 500 metre long 
Magione (Pg). Anyone interested in learning the Filet embroidery technique, which is typical of the Trasimene area and derives from the techniques used to make fishing nets, can come to the school founded by Giovanna Ferri in 1998 and follow one of the courses that run from September through to May. Magione stands on a hill on the eastern shores of Lake Trasimene, in a territory dotted with a number of fortified towns. The view over the lake is particularly fine from here, although the best vantage point is the nearby Monte del Lago.
You shouldn't leave Lake Trasimene without having been on a boat trip to see the startling natural life that abounds here. Every year many migratory birds stop here to replenish their reserves of energy before continuing their journey. 
This museum traces the history of Lake Trasimene along with the animal and plant species that inhabit it. The various sections into which the museum is divided display the old fashioned equipment used by fishermen. The collection is rounded off by a large collection of photographs.
