On a hill in a residential Villa area outside Marsciano, Villa Umbria Verde is absolutely magnificent. Just imagine a house rich in a old-world icons and respect for the past that’s also a home for a holiday. Traditional style after all, wouldn’t have survived this long without offering flexibility for real-life living. The two owners are antique dealers and the furnishings reflect their superb taste and ingenuity to mix and match, and accomplish an overall delightful effect. The vistas are panoramic and reach hilltop Todi.
Fully enclosed and reached through remote controlled gates, the gardens are resplendent with flowers and many trees too for shade. Terraced, the grounds have furnished areas and the swimming pool, 11 x 5 yards is on a terrace to the side of the villa and almost hidden of view. Inside, the sleeping quarters are wisely divided into suites. All the windows are larges and screened and invite an abundance of sunlight.
There are three fireplaces and two furnished terraces. The smaller indipendent wing at ground level is reserved for the two owners. Marsciano is 1 mile distant and has shops and restaurants. A local bus that stops within 50 yards has service into town until dusk and also reaches Todi and Perugia. Strategically located, Villa Umbria Verde is a five minute drive from the highway E-45. Excellent roads, rail and bus links exist in the towns.
